The leader of ZCC Giyani branch in Limpopo lock horns with local police boss after the police seems to be taking ages to bring to book a “stubborn” sangoma who rapped one of his congregants at snake point.
The ZCC leader backed by a handful of followers created a scene at M W Makhubela police station on Wednesday afternoon and even threatened all the station officers with a heavenly sent lightning to struck them in the next storm if the case is not solved.
“We are calling for justice here, its public knowledge that one of us was rapped by a well known Sangoma, the church knows it, the community saw it, the police received the report, our plea is why the sangoma is still roaming around free??.
“Someone told us that they (Police) fear the sangoma powers and we are here to make a statement that God powers will also give the a reason to be afraid. Arrest the sangoma or God will burn you in the next storm,” he declared to a cheering crowed.
According to a police report presented to MzansiGuardian, a ZCC middle aged member (name withheld) was reportedly rapped by a local sangoma who threatened her with snakes.
Police spokesperson revealed that his squad is working tirelessly to establish the truthfulness of the allegations hence they will not collapse to petty threats.
